Side Effects of PT-141

PT-141 is found to be generally safe and well-tolerated. However, like all medications, it may come with some side effects.

According to a study of PT-141 for use in erectile dysfunction, it causes the following side effects at a dose of 10 mg when taken intranasally:

  • Nausea (12.8%)
  • Flushing (10.5%)
  • Diaphoresis / excessive sweating (9.3%)
  • Low back pain (7.0%)
  • Taste disturbance (4.7%)
  • Headache (3.5%)
  • Somnolence / drowsiness (1.2%)

It is important to note that these side effects are observed at a dose of 10 mg, which is higher than the dose used in the LOVER Protocol, which uses 2000 mcg. In addition, the route of administration in this study was intranasal, while the LOVER Protocol uses an orally dissolving tablet.

Another study in healthy male subjects found no side effects at 4 mg and only a couple reports of flushing at 7 mg (intranasal administration), but notably sample sizes were small.

The LOVER Protocol by Maximus is intended to boost your sexual health and performance for the long-term. It contains PT-141 2000 mcg and tadalafil 5 mg.
