Active ingredients

Tirzepatide
Tirzepatide2.5mg - 15 mg

Tirzepatide is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist. This means, in addition to mimicking the effects of GLP-1, it also mimics the effects of the GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) hormone. The combined action on both receptors provides additional benefits for weight loss.

GLP-1s work on key underlying metabolic pathways to support sustained weight loss, rather than a quick fix. You'll lose the weight quickly.

Benefits:

  • Weight Loss
  • Appetite

Who is eligible for treatment?

A GLP-1 agonist might be for you if you need an adjuvant for lifestyle modifications in losing weight or controlling metabolic parameters, like blood glucose. If you have a BMI of over 25 and a comorbidity associated with your weight, you are an eligible candidate for treatment.

Is this compounded with base form or salt form?

This protocol is compounded with base form.

If I have been previously prescribed GLP-1, can I start at that dosage with Maximus?

If you have documentation of previous GLP-1 agonist usage, our providers will work with you to find an optimal dose that matches your profile.

Will I be on this product for life?

GLP1 agonists are designed to complement a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen. While these lifestyle choices are generally long-term commitments, the duration of use for this product isn't necessarily indefinite. It's crucial to have ongoing discussions with your healthcare provider about the appropriateness and duration of use for this product tailored to your individual needs.

Which treatment option is best for me, semaglutide or tirzepatide?

Both semaglutide and tirzepatide have been shown to be extremely effective in helping patients lose weight. Semaglutide has been shown to help patients lose 14.9% of body weight over 68 weeks (2.4mg once per week), while tirzepatide has been shown to help patients lose 20.9% of body weight over 72 weeks (15mg once per week).

For those seeking the more affordable option, we recommend semaglutide. For those seeking the most effective treatment, we recommend tirzepatide

How much weight, specifically, can I expect to lose?

Combined with dietary changes and exercise, patients can expect to lose an average of 22.5%.

How long until I see results?

Your results are contingent upon adherence to diet and exercise. Appetite suppression and craving reduction starts shortly after beginning the medication. Noticeable results in weight loss start within the first few weeks after the medication reaches a steady state dosage.

Is there any harm in injecting myself? Is there a best place to inject?

Most GLP-1 agonists are administered safely as subcutaneous injections, meaning they are injected into the fatty layer of tissue just under the skin. The best places for these injections are typically the abdomen, thighs, or upper arms, where there is sufficient fatty tissue. Always rotate the injection site each time to avoid skin issues. Practice proper hygiene, injection techniques, and safety measures.

Does the protocol have adverse side effects?

The adverse effects of semaglutide and tirzepatide have been extensively studies in placebo-controlled clinical trials. The drugs are generally well-tolerated, however, infrequent and transient, dose-related side effects may occur.

Nausea: 12%
Diarrhea: 12%
Decreased Appetite: 5%
Vomiting: 5%
Constipation: 6%
Dyspepsia: 8%
Abdominal Pain: 6%

Can I switch from Tirzepatide to Semaglutide?

Unfortunately, once you begin treatment with Tirzepatide you cannot switch to Semaglutide seamlessly. Although both medications are in the same class, how you react to them may differ. As a result, switching medications will require you to begin at the lowest dose and titrate upwards in strength to determine how your body will react to the drug.

Can I use this product as a woman?

Yes – Tirzepatide is available to both men and women.

We hold ourselves to the highest scientific standards — here are our sources.

1
Studies show that individuals using tirzepatide on average 22.5% of their body weight over a 72 week period, more than any other GLP-1 agonist.
2
GLP-1 agonists act on an area in the brain that regulates appetite. They make you feel full and satisfied, which reduces the amount you eat.
3
Numerous studies have demonstrated that erectile function and sperm production improves when testosterone is given to men with low testosterone levels.
